Interpretive Center for the History of Cod opens in July

The Interpretative Center of the History of Codfish, opened on July 22, at Torreão Nascente, in Terreiro do Paço, takes us to navigate the heroic epic of a people and their love for cod.

Lisbon has a unique space where one of the most epic stories of Portugal is told - the discovery of Terra Nova and the adventure in the frozen seas by fishing for cod. Divided into two floors, the Center contemplates the history of navigation to Terra Nova and the way that cod became part of our gastronomic tradition. A set of unique interactive experiences explaining who Brás and Gomes de Sá were.
